Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a teaching hospital's Radiology department, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of current CT experience.
Details
Radiology department position, primarily CT with X-ray responsibilities also required
298-bed teaching hospital with a full continuum of medical specialties
8-hour afternoon shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Weekend and holiday coverage required if needed
On-call possible
Uses PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR, and CT applications
Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
Requirements
Minimum 2 years current CT experience required
ARRT (CT) certification required
Active BLS certification (AHA) required
Massachusetts Radiology license required if applicable
Ability to function independently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
Must perform IV insertion and injections as part of diagnostic imaging tasks
Skills checklist for CT current within 1 year required for consideration
One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
Additional Information
Perform a wide variety of technical CT and X-ray procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director
May supervise or instruct department personnel as determined by Manager or Director
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including use of Tiger Text
Practices infection control in compliance with departmental, hospital, and OSHA standards
Maintains patient confidentiality and department competencies
Completes annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training
Candidates must have their own vehicle for this assignment
Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, and all requests must be submitted at time of profile submission
