Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 6+ months of CT experience and ARRT certification for a role in a 64-bed adult hospital.
Details
64-bed adult hospital with 12-bed adult ICU and 14-bed ED
CT patient population is majority adult ED patients with occasional pediatric scans, plus adult inpatients as ordered
Equipment includes Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT scanner
EMR is Meditech and PACS is FUJI Synapse
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Weekend CT coverage shifts run 7A-7P
Imaging department weekend staffing includes 1 MRI tech, 1 X-ray tech, 1 US tech (Saturdays only), and 1 CT tech
Typical procedures include CT head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA chest/neck/abdomen, occasional CTA cardiac studies, CT lumbar/thoracic spine, and CT head stroke protocol
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of CT Tech experience
CT registered with ARRT
KSBHA license required if applicable
Siemens scanner experience preferred
2-3+ years of CT experience preferred
Ability to back up X-ray coverage when X-ray tech is in the OR
Must be able to work independently and problem solve
Additional Information
Works in a department with fluctuating patient volume based on ED census
Collaborates well with other departments
Dependable and prompt attendance expected
Black scrubs required and not provided
Small, family-friendly facility with easy navigation
Department offers a guideline book and resources for quick orientation
