Job description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and BLS.
Requirements
Active state license required if applicable
ARRT registration in Radiology (R) including Computed Tomography (CT) required
Current BLS certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire)
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required
2 years of prior CT Technologist experience preferred
Cross-training in other modalities such as MRI, DEXA, or Mammography preferred
Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems preferred
Proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration required
Responsibilities
Diagnostic imaging department performing CT and X-ray procedures
Assists radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
Performs X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures including C-arm and OR work
13-week assignment on night shift
36 guaranteed hours per week
May be required to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, or take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
Responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, and technical quality evaluation for CT scans
Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA standards
Maintains accurate patient records including charging procedures and supplies
May assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment
