Job description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 1+ year of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week evening shift assignment.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
ARRT-CT and BLS certification required
Toshiba/Canon CT equipment experience required
Epic charting experience preferred
Community hospital experience preferred
Skilled in image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions
Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
Active Oregon state license required, or proof of application and fingerprinting; license required if applicable
One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
No felony convictions accepted
Responsibilities
CT Tech unit within an acute care hospital setting
Supports Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU patients
Performs abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
Vascular imaging includes CTA, pulmonary embolism, and aortic studies
Uses Siemens and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment along with PACS
3x12 hour evening shifts, Friday-Sunday from 2:00 PM to 2:30 AM
No on-call requirements
Must be willing to float within site and across the health system as required
Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
Subject to mandatory low census cancellation policy, limited to one shift per two-week pay period without penalty
Must cancel at least 1.5 hours before shift start in the event of low census
Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from any facility within the system
First-time travelers are not specified for consideration
