Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator position available in Porter, IN. This travel assignment involves providing specialized circulating services for open heart surgery cases. The role requires a dedicated professional with open heart experience to support surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Job Details
Certifications: RN licensure, ACLS, BLS required
Education Requirements: Proof of licensure and certifications must be submitted with application
Location Requirements: Candidates must be more than 50 miles from the facility
Years of Experience: 2 years in open heart surgery preferred, minimum of 2 years in operating room experience required
Schedule: Dayshift from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities: Serve as the circulating nurse during open heart surgeries, support other surgical procedures such as ortho, neuro, gynecology, and general surgeries, utilize Cerner electronic medical record system, adhere to scrub dress code in surgical blue
Required Qualifications: RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, open heart experience, 2 years in OR experience, ability to start 10/26/2026 for a duration of 13 weeks with possible extension
Additional Information: Orientation scheduled for 10/19/26 or every other Monday, must attach all certifications and license with submission, local candidates not accepted, traveler must include drivers license and address matching ID, and must be more than 50 miles from the facility. No floating to other units is required, and block scheduling is not available.
