Job description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a day-shift outpatient assignment requiring ARDMS or CCI RCS/RDCS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience required
ARDMS or CCI RCS or RDCS certification required
BLS certification required
Compact state license required if applicable, and must be in hand at time of consideration
Epic charting experience preferred
Skilled in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
Experience with IV starts
Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
Responsibilities
Outpatient adult echo setting at an on-campus medical plaza
5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays
No on-call requirements
Uses GE equipment
Epic charting system preferred
Performs Adult Echo, 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, and Portable Studies
Conducts RVIT and RVOT assessments
Performs calculations including Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, and Simpson's Rule
First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
Returning staff may reapply after a 3-month waiting period
Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the consideration process
Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
