Position: Nurse Supervisor - Director of Nursing, Emergency Department
Unit: Emergency Department, Lincoln Hospital (NYC Health + Hospitals), Bronx NY - Level I Trauma Center
Schedule: Days, 5 days per week
Duties:
- Provide Director of Nursing oversight for a Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Plan and develop programs that improve patient care and employee performance
- Monitor unit performance for quality of patient care
- Assess units alongside nurse managers, communicate findings and assist with corrective action
- Develop and maintain a record-keeping system for medication errors and counseling
- Serve as the administrative and operational level manager for the department
Experience: 7 years required, 5 of them in a supervisory role; Emergency Room and prior DON experience required
Education: BSN from an accredited nursing program required; MSN preferred
Required: NY RN license with NYSED primary source verification, BLS
