GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Chesapeake, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel ER Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ER) | Chesapeake, VA | Contract Quick Look Weekly Gross Pay: Not specified Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Number of Openings: 4 Join a leading acute-care hospital in the beautiful Coastal Virginia region as an ER Registered Nurse. Located just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Chesapeake is an outdoor lover's paradise, offering hiking trails for all experience levels and more than 20 waterways to explore. Assignment Details Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s; every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required. Patient Ratios: Typical ratio is 1:4, may increase to 1:6 when caring for Medical-Surgical hold patients. Stroke patients are assigned 1:1 until admitted or through the tPA treatment window. STEMI and cardiac arrest patients are also assigned 1:1. No psychiatric patients. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department experience. Previous travel experience required. Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions. Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions. Required Certifications BLS (American Heart Association only). ACLS (American Heart Association only). PALS (American Heart Association only). NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). TNCC. Compliance Requirements The facility will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. Please thoroughly review the candidate's history before submission. Local RN candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position. Submission must include: Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet. Current NURSYS report.
