Job Summary
nEndoscopy Lab Nurse - Day Shift The organization is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Lab Nurse to join the clinical team. This position involves providing advanced endoscopic nursing care, supporting patient assessment, and participating in procedures within the endoscopy unit. The role requires working independently with a focus on patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.
nJob Details
nnSchedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
nRequired Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (minimum), RN License in the state of employment or compact, BLS via AHA required, ACLS via AHA required
nPreferred Qualifications: Experience in endoscopy or gastrointestinal nursing preferred
nFloat: Float to other departments within Surgical Services required
nResponsibilities:nnProvide routine and complex nursing care based on nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
nAdminister medications and treatments using appropriate protocol, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
nDocument patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately
nAddress the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice
nEducate patients, family members, and caregivers regarding procedures and care plans
nMake appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to ensure high-quality clinical management
