Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 1, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night-shift role requiring Level I trauma experience and Epic proficiency. Details Emergency Department setting in a Level I trauma center with 30 beds Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) with every-other-weekend requirement Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area Must be able to function independently managing Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand Current BLS and ACLS certification via AHA TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required 2 years of ED experience, preferably in a 30 bed Level I trauma center 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months Nursing degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution Must pass a basic arrhythmia competency assessment Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Additional Information Provide independent, high-acuity emergency nursing care including trauma bay management Smoke-free facility Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced pay rate Former Broward Health employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Candidates from Operation Nightingale nursing schools are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P- .
