Position Summary
nTravel Automotive/Diesel Technician/Mechanic – Poca, WV
nn$38.00 - $45.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days | Potential Sign-on Bonus up to $2,500
nnAmerit Fleet Solutions , a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Travelling Fleet Technician/Mechanic with Auto/Diesel/Equipment experience to join our team in Poca, WV.

nnPay & Schedule
nnPay: $35.00 – $45.00/hour (based on experience) - Potential Sign-on Bonus up to $2,500 Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm (must be flexible)
nnTravel Requirements:
n East Coast, Overnight Travel, Flexible with some weekend travel
Normal hours if not on the road would be 7am-3:30 at our Poca, WV location

nnWhat You’ll Do
n Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
n nWhat We’re Looking For
n 5+ years ’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
n nWorking Conditions
nThis role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
