Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Athens, Tennessee.

Schedule / Job TypeContract Travel Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 13 Weeks Expected 36 hours/week
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a 5-bed ICU (expanding to 10 beds) serving adult and geriatric populations - no pediatric patients
Manage critically ill patients with diagnoses including DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric presentations
Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers
Document patient care accurately using the Medhost EHR system
Maintain patient ratios of 2-3:1 in alignment with unit standards
Adhere to all required certifications and comply with the Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
Required QualificationsActive RN licensure valid for practice in the state of Tennessee
ACLS certification required prior to start
BLS certification required prior to start
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care experience
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / SkillsPrior critical care travel nursing experience
Familiarity with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
Experience managing ventilator-dependent patients and vasoactive drips
