American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Crescent City, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a CA license for a night shift travel position requiring critical care expertise. Details ICU setting within a hospital Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30) Every other weekend requirement On call/call off based on census Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CA RN license required BSN required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop requirement) Experience with IV therapy, arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory therapies (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ETT/NT suctioning) Experience with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and paralytics Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management Experience with CVA/acute stroke management Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and hemodialysis preferred Experience with IV insulin protocols Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention First-time travelers may be considered if minimum requirements are met Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning employees/travelers must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract Only one holiday request approved per contract, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date 7-year work history verification required for all candidates American Traveler Job ID P- .
