American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 15, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for night shift at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2 years of continuous MICU experience and active MA RN licensure. Details 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients Floating required to Medical/Surgical units with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required No rotating shifts required Uses EPIC EMR charting system 13-week assignment Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license (NO pending licenses accepted) AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU Must be able to read telemetry strips Telemetry competency required for floating assignments Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU population Collaborate with attendings and residents present in the unit around the clock Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston Free on-site parking available American Traveler Job ID P- .
