Job description
A travel pharmacist opportunity is available for an experienced professional with a strong retail background to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations. This role requires flexibility to travel and reside temporarily in New Concord, OH, serving a vital role in patient medication management within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense inpatient medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
Conduct medication reconciliation and patient counseling when needed
Utilize pharmacy systems, preferably RX30, for order processing and inventory management
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
Qualifications: Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum of 1 year current retail-based pharmacy experience with consistent 40-hour workweeks
Experience working varied shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations in a retail setting
Vaccination certification required upon application
Familiarity with RX30 pharmacy system is advantageous but not mandatory
Location: New Concord, Ohio
