Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT/BLS certification.
Details
Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
Unit staffed with 3 nurses and a radiologist daily
On-call rotation includes 1 nurse, 1 tech, and 1 radiologist daily during off-hours
Travelers ideally take call for a full week every 3rd week, though call-ins are infrequent
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend required
Uses EPIC charting system
1:1 patient ratio experience
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience required
BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
RCIS certification preferred
ACLS certification preferred
Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, nephrostomy, cystoscopy, and vascular closure systems preferred
Skilled in equipment setup, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field for scrub procedures
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures and interpretation of dysrhythmias preferred
Additional Information
Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) based on department need
First-time travelers and local candidates will be considered
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
