General Information
n Number of Beds: 7 Pre/Post Bays, 2 Procedural Suites
Acceptable Traveler Experience: 1 Year (1st time travelers must have at least 2 years experience)
n Patient Types
nThe facility handles both outpatient and inpatient procedures, including:
n Biopsies
Uterine Fibroid Embolizations (UFE)
Kyphoplasties
Port Placement
Diagnostic Angiograms
Interventional Arterial and Venous Procedures
IVC Placement
Venous Thrombectomies
Neurological Thrombectomies
Coilings
Aneurysm Rupture Repair
Paracentesis
Thoracentesis
n Patient Ratios
n 1:1 in Procedure Rooms
Up to 1:3 in Pre/Post Area
n Required Certifications
n BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
n Required Skills
n ICU Care
Moderate Sedation
Arterial Line Management
Medication Titration
Chest Tube Insertion
n Support on the Unit
nThe unit is supported by a Charge Nurse to ensure optimal workflow and patient care.
Technology and Equipment
n EMR: Cerner
IV Pumps: Plum 360
Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Spacelabs
n Floating
nFloating is permitted only to other procedural areas if the skillset applies (e.g., cath lab pre/post area).
Orientation and Scheduling
n Orientation: 2 shifts in the unit, 1-2 shifts in education/onboarding
Unit Hours: Routine procedures M-F , available for emergencies 24/7
Holiday Expectations: Equal treatment for core and travel staff; covering 1 Winter holiday and 1 Summer holiday is required.
n Approval of Time Off
nTime off requests are to be approved by the Manager.
Shift Types
n 4 shifts of 10 hours per week with rotating off days from
3 shifts of 12 hours per week with rotating off days
n Other Information
n Scrub Color: Any color; green scrubs provided during procedures
Parking: Assigned areas of the hospital, parking deck available
