Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and prior travel assignment experience for a cardiac interventional radiology unit.
Details
Interventional Radiology unit within a community hospital setting
5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 4x10 hour shifts also possible
On-call required Monday-Friday 4 PM-9 PM and Saturday/Sunday 9 AM-2 PM, rotating among 4 technologists
Uses Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
Charting is done in Cerner
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of recent IR technologist experience within the last 7 years
Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
ACLS certification required
MD state license or compact license required; license required if applicable
Community hospital experience required
Cerner charting experience required
Skilled in special procedures including angioplasty, IVC filter placement and removal, and fluoroscopy
Proficient in prepping access sites and maintaining sterile technique while scrubbed in
Additional Information
Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site prep, maintaining sterile fields, and serving as room circulator as needed
Follows isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
Scrubs are provided
Orientation occurs every Monday
No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
