Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
General Information Location: Nashville, TN
Unit Name: Labor & Delivery
Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 1:2
Unit Staffing: RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
Documentation System: CPN, Meditach
Scheduling Requirements: 3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNs, 2 call shifts for techs, 3 12-hour shifts
Floating Policy: Travelers float first
Patient Experience Requirements: Shared decision making
Certifications Required certifications for RNs include:
NRP
ACLS
BLS
AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM
Hiring Profile Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Advanced skills in care of the laboring patient
Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
Circulating and recovering cesarean section patients
Unit Specifics The Labor & Delivery unit handles a variety of procedures including:
Vaginal deliveries
C-sections
D&C
Cerclage
Epidural anesthesia
Tubal labor
Dress Code Scrubs are not provided by the facility. Required colors are ceil blue, navy blue, or gray.
