Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Join our skilled nursing team in providing exceptional care in our specialized Labor & Delivery unit, where each birth experience is treated as unique and individual. Our dedicated staff is committed to supporting patients through a variety of birthing options, ranging from natural childbirth to full epidural anesthesia, 24 hours a day.
Department Information 8 Bed Unit
Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:1 (active labor), 1:2/3 for Mother-Baby
Role Responsibilities The Registered Nurse will deliver personalized nursing care, ensuring comfort and medical support throughout the labor process. Responsibilities include:
Monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal well-being
Assisting with various birthing methods and pain management options
Providing education and support to patients and their families
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience
Experience in fetal monitoring is essential
Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred
Current certifications in BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP required
STABLE certification is highly preferred
Labor & Delivery skills checklist completed within the past year
One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment
Active state nursing license verification is required
Work Schedule 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
36 hours per week, with every other weekend commitment required
