Fusion Medical Staffing‑Radiology is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Joliet, Illinois.
Job Summary
Travel Mammography Technologist – 13 weeks, 40 hours/week, 8‑hour days, start ASAP.
Qualifications
1+ year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Current state license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
ARRT certification preferred
Other certifications and licenses may be required
Essential Work Functions
Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
Position patient for imaging procedure
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; set up procedure room for safety and efficiency
Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust as needed
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams
Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures
Practice infection prevention through hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation precautions
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
Proficient reading, writing, and communication in English
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with various personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures and equipment use
Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular activity schedules, continuous concentration on detail
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
