Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg | Winston-Salem, NC | Contract Quick Look Weekly Gross Pay: $1,781 - $1,875 Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical - Neuro Registered Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC. We are seeking a skilled RN with a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team focused on delivering quality healthcare. Job Details: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years with 1 year of direct MedSurg experience. Traveler Experience: Unit will not accept 1st time travelers; must have at least 2 successful contracts before applying. Local Candidates: Accepted; rate difference applies. Required Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro experience. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS; ACLS preferred but not required. Patient Ratios: 1:6. Patient Diagnoses: Primarily Stroke patients, Neurosurgery patients, and other Neuro diagnoses including Epilepsy and subdural hematomas. Unit Details: 4 Bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with a daily census of 42. Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR. Scheduling: Preferred scheduling; travelers are required to work every other weekend. Unit Orientation: 36 hours. Scrubs: Navy. Travelers may be required to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry areas, including COVID care units. If a traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, they will be expected to make up the missed shifts based on unit needs. Frequent floating may be required, and block scheduling is not always guaranteed. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
