Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Unit Information Unit: 9 Tower Surgical
Location: Nashville, TN
Number of Beds: 36
Number of Staff: 40 RNs (8 bedside RNs per shift)
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Type of Equipment: Bariatric fitted ADLs, Wound Vacs, Drains, Lifts
EMR: Meditech
Job Responsibilities Maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites
Wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
Foley Catheter care and continuous bladder irrigation
Ostomy appliance changing and maintenance
Nasogastric tube insertion and suction
TPN administration
Blood administration
Central line care and dressing changes
Conduct bedside shift report
Qualifications Required Certifications: BLS
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
Desired Skills Must Have: Time management and efficiency in a fast-paced unit with a short length of stay
Strong teamwork skills
Preferred: Experience in post-operative surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, and colorectal surgery

Unit Guidelines/Policies Prompt attendance by clocking in and out on time, and attending scheduled shifts
