Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Danville, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted. Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel) Location Danville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving patients of all ages Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech EHR system Participate in weekend rotations and call requirements as needed Float to other units as needed to support staffing demands Adhere to facility dress code and professional conduct standards at all times Required Qualifications Active RN licensure valid for practice in Virginia BLS certification required prior to start NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start HWC certification required prior to start (available on-site) Minimum 1 year of RN experience Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate Preferred Experience / Skills 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience Familiarity with Meditech EHR Experience working in an academic community hospital setting Why Join Us Work at a 250-bed academic community hospital that is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, offering exposure to a broad scope of clinical services Located in a charming riverside community with parks, trails, historical architecture, and easy access to the Greensboro, NC metro area Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID .
