American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 16, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with GI, urology, and GYN care experience for a day-shift position requiring MN licensure. Details Medical Surgical unit specializing in GI, urology, and GYN patients Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate hospitals nearby Uses Epic/Excellian charting system Requirements Active MN RN license required (or ability to apply through facilitated licensure process) BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required Experience with telemetry remote monitoring, Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, and feeding tube management required Preferred experience in MS/Tele, post cardiac surgery, post MI, post angiogram, and pre/post hemodialysis management Experienced travelers preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Additional Information Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation Short-term acute care facility with 672 staffed beds Navy scrub color required Candidates must complete pre-start modules prior to assignment Fingerprinting via LiveScan required per Minnesota state regulation, which may require travel if not near an approved location Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, with no local radius exception for this unit Returning travelers must have been away at least 3 months since last working as perm staff or per diem RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days American Traveler Job ID P- .
