Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming.

Schedule / Job TypeContract 13 Weeks Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Onsite
Key ResponsibilitiesConsults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Prepares, administers, and records prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, and IV); reports adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, and educates patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays, and initiates corrective action when a patient displays adverse symptomatology
Performs clinical tasks including dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts; prepares equipment and assists physician during examination and treatment
Participates in discharge planning and documents all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
Required QualificationsActive Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience in a hospital setting
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required - must be issued through the American Heart Association
Ability to occasionally care for pediatric and adolescent patients as needed
Willingness to float between two campus locations depending on facility census
Preferred Experience / SkillsPrior travel nursing experience in a community hospital setting
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
Experience managing a diverse patient population including pre- and post-operative cases
