Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Schedule / Job TypeContract Day Shift () 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts Expected 36 hours/week
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care within the RN scope of practice
Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider; administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately and timely
Complete required Cerner documentation in accordance with competencies, training, policies, and procedures; use Care Compass to organize and document assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education
Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation and take appropriate action when needed
Provide patient and family education related to disease process, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up care
Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care; serve as a mentor to other nursing staff
Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of Med/Surg or Emergency Room experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Cerner EHR/EMR experience required
Graduate of an accredited RN program required
Current Colorado or Compact RN license required
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / SkillsExperience with observation and inpatient care in a Med/Surg unit setting
Familiarity with SBAR communication format for care transfers
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
