American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Ishpeming, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 23, 2026 Length: 26 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a critical access hospital, requiring an active MI RN license and at least 2 years of Med-Surg experience. Details Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of an 18-bed critical access hospital Geriatric and pediatric patient population Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:8 depending on acuity and care aide availability Uses Meditech EHR Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements No floating requirements Requirements Active MI RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Telemetry (AHA certifications required) Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required Rural community hospital experience required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care to geriatric and pediatric Med-Surg patients in a Joint Commission accredited critical access hospital Reports to the Acute Care Unit Director Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P- .
