Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Englewood, Colorado.

Building: Main
General Information Number of Beds: 33 rooms, accommodating up to 49 patients with some semi-private rooms.
Number of Staff: 62 staff members.
Day Shift Staff: 2 charge nurses, 2 technicians, 6-7 registered nurses.
Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 1.5 technicians, 5-6 registered nurses.
Patient Ratios: 4:1 during the day, 5:1 at night.
Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitoring.
EMR: Meditech.
Qualifications Hiring Profile Required Skills: Minimum 1 year of current hospital Med/Surg experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills: Experience with spinal cord injury patients.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Typical Procedures Wound care, including management of surgical flap patients.
Occasional bowel program and light burn care for low acuity burn patients.
Personality Fit Ideal candidates should be registered nurses who thrive in a busy environment. Prioritizing patient care experience is essential for this role.
Additional Information This unit specializes in caring for surgical flap patients, particularly those with spinal cord injuries and stage 4 wounds that require surgical intervention. Collaboration with the burn unit is a key aspect of care, providing valuable experience to staff in managing patients with varying levels of acuity.
