American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in San Francisco, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 17, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring CA RN licensure, BSN, and prior teaching hospital experience. Details MS/Tele unit in a teaching hospital setting with Trauma Level I and II designation Patient population includes surgical, orthopedic, and telemetry patients 1:5 patient ratio Uses Philips Tele monitoring system and Cerner charting system Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30) Required to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75 mile radius if job specifications are met Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission BSN required Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Tele experience required Prior Charge Nurse experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required Trauma Level I and II experience required Experience with Philips Tele monitoring system required Cerner charting system experience required Ortho, acute care, and critical care experience preferred PCRN or CCRN certification preferred Must have prior travel experience within the last 12 months 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients including surgical orthopedic cases Responsibilities may include IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, and wound care Skills in respiratory, cardiac, genitourinary, and neurological care may be required depending on patient needs Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring is preferred COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions; proof of vaccination or scheduled booster appointment must be provided Must disclose all requested RTO at time of submission; no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment and no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Floating to other departments or facilities within a 75 mile radius required if job specifications are met American Traveler Job ID P- .
