Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lima, Ohio.

Position Overview This position follows a streamlined clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day.
Shift Details 12 Hour Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
36 Hour Guarantee
Every Other Weekend Requirement
No On Call Requirements
Job Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. Key responsibilities include:
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
Making clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.
Assisting in the planning, directing, and teaching of non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
Qualifications 2+ years of nursing experience.
Strong attendance record with a commitment to reporting for all assigned shifts on time.
Proficiency in administering cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, with knowledge of titration and application of these medications.
Competency in telemetry and ability to interpret heart rhythms.
Critical thinking skills necessary to recognize changes in patient status and intervene appropriately.
Knowledge of stroke signs/symptoms and the ability to act when changes in patient status occur.
Strong communication skills.
Certification Requirements Active BLS (AHA)
Active ACLS (AHA)
Active NIHSS Certification
Licensure Requirements Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
