American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x12hrs Hours: 48 hrs/wk Start Date: Dec 7, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Details Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 3-4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday Requirements Active PA or Compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Minimum 1 year of recent experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Cerner charting system experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred DL, SSN, and DOB required for consideration Two supervisor references preferred Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management Perform IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration as needed Manage respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration Support patients with neurological conditions including CVA, post-TPA care, and seizure disorders Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start First 8 hours of orientation are required along with approximately 1 hour of pre-start modules Local candidates not accepted; must reside over 50 miles from the facility Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible Travelers who have completed a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before returning Travel pairs accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed Can only be submitted to one facility within the health system at a time American Traveler Job ID P- .
