Job Details
Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse
Location: Decatur, TX
Specialty: Medical Surgical (MS)
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (minimum of 36 hours per week)
Start Date: 10/19/2026
End Date: 01/18/2027
Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS and BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification, experience in telemetry and medical surgical units, with a minimum of 1 year of related clinical experience.
Additional Information: Unit Information: 60 beds, staff of 50, patient ratios of 5:1 on 4th Floor and 6:1 on 5th Floor.
Typical procedures include abdominal surgeries, heart caths, orthopedic repairs, and diagnostic procedures.
Candidates must wear black scrubs currently, with a transition to Medical City Blue.
Weekend shifts are required; no on-call responsibilities.
Mandatory float coverage may be assigned to inpatient rehab, emergency department, or progressive care unit within scope of practice.
