Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week (48 hours/week may be available upon request; overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts)
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care to a Medical-Surgical population including post-surgical patients, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF cases
Perform and manage clinical skills including remote tele monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foley catheters, ostomy care, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4–5 during day shifts; float within skillset to sister campuses (approximately 8–11 miles away) with a minimum of 2 hours notice for cross-campus floats
Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per every six-week schedule and every other holiday
Document using EPIC ; completion of a checkoff class will be required upon start
May be required to precept students and new hires at this teaching facility; maintain professional conduct with no competing health system or agency logos on scrubs
Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience
At least 1 prior travel assignment required
Trauma Level II experience required
Current active compact RN license required
AHA BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / SkillsRecent EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage change effectively
Experience with a broad range of Med-Surg clinical skills including tracheostomy care and PCA management
