American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 2, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience. Details Medical Surgical unit in a teaching hospital setting Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, SBO, sepsis, stroke, DM, ortho, chest pain, and wounds Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Every third weekend required No on-call requirements Epic charting system used Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required in hand prior to start BLS certification required ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred Minimum 1 year of recent experience required Epic charting experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, and port access Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills preferred Experience in ortho/total joint replacement and surgical drain management preferred Additional Information Care for Med/Surg patients with a wide range of diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic conditions Navy blue scrubs required Free parking available in unrestricted spaces First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates within 70 miles are not accepted Must reside outside a 70-mile radius of the facility to be eligible American Traveler Job ID P- .
