Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the Midwest. This position involves providing patient care on a 30-bed unit specializing in post-operative, medical, and common diagnosis patients. The role requires nursing staff to deliver safe, dependable care within a fast-paced hospital setting, adhering to unit guidelines and protocols.
Job Details
Position Description: Medical Surgical RN on the 4th Floor with certifications required including BLS (AHA).
Qualifications: Valid license to submit, minimum of 2 years experience required, at least 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience preferred, and current BLS certification.
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with shifts typically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring a 30-minute punch out.
Additional Information: The unit staff manages patients with diagnoses such as HTN, HF, pneumonia, COPD, AMS, TIA, DM, sepsis, UTI, AKI, and post-op surgeries including knee, hip, shoulder, thyroidectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy. Nurses may be required to float to units like IMC, ICU, or ED and will work with telemetry monitors but are not responsible for interpreting strips. The unit maintains a flexible and accommodating scheduling approach, with weekend and holiday shifts as specified.
Submission Requirements: Must note if clinician has previously worked at Marshfield; previous employment must have concluded at least 6 months prior.
