Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN in the MS specialty - located at the healthcare provider. This position involves providing patient care within a general medicine medical-surgical unit, with a focus on diverse patient populations including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/Stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The role requires adapting to a busy, supportive environment where collaboration with students and new hires is essential.
Job Details
Position Description: 12-hour night shifts on the medical-surgical unit, with start dates of 11/16, 11/30, or 12/14. The assignment is at least through 02/27/2027, with potential for up to 20 weeks to support staffing during the holiday season, including working at least one major holiday.
Required Qualifications:
Certifications, education, and experience include a minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Surgical RN, valid nursing license, and skills checklist submission.
Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
Additional Information: The position may involve charge responsibilities, with appropriate pay differentials and training provided. The unit supports ancillary services such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and supply management. Cerner EMR experience preferred. Applicants should provide a complete work history, explain employment gaps over 90 days, and submit a valid Nursys license.
