Job Summary
Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Skilled Nursing. The Registered Nurse Team Lead provides direct patient care through assessment, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of patient conditions. The role requires effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, prioritization, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient advocacy while maintaining clinical competence and professional standards.
Job Details
Schedule: Evening schedule with 10-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week; scheduled five evenings per week, including every other weekend and every other holiday.
Required Qualifications:
Registered Nurse licensure; ability to perform patient assessments, monitor and report changes in patient conditions, coordinate interdisciplinary care, document thoroughly in the electronic medical record, operate required equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed; ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Additional Information: Responsibilities include leading nursing team activities, coordinating patient care, participating in interdisciplinary care, advocating for patients, promoting evidence-based practice, maintaining clinical competence, participating in unit councils and staff meetings, and providing care within the defined professional scope. The Registered Nurse Team Lead may be required to perform Licensed Practical Nurse medication-cart duties as staffing needs permit. Orientation is typically one day on the assigned unit. Scrubs of any color may be worn.
