Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Pikeville, Kentucky Travel RN opportunity in Pikeville, KY: Join a supportive medical-surgical telemetry team and provide high-quality adult patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. Job Details Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Location: Pikeville, Kentucky Start Date: 8/31/2026 Contract Length: 7 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or telemetry nursing experience Experience caring for adult and older adult patients in an acute care or hospital setting Strong cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and medication administration skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills Responsibilities Assess and reassess patients using the nursing process to guide safe, effective care Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Administer medications, manage pain, and support sedation needs as ordered Provide chest tube care, central line access, and IV therapy support Assist with pre- and post-cardiac cath care Support TPN/PPN administration, transfusion therapy, and specialized IV drips Perform waiver testing and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes Why Pikeville, Kentucky?
