Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:
nRegistered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy acute care hospital, managing a variety of medical conditions, and supporting patients' recovery and well-being. The role requires adaptability and proficiency in telemetry monitoring, patient documentation, and clinical skills pertinent to the unit's diverse patient population.
nJob Details:
nnSchedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
nRequired Qualifications: Valid RN license, current BLS certification, 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, Wisconsin licensure or compact license preferred.
nPreferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry, observation unit, admissions and discharges, and fast-paced environments.
nFloat: Float rotation may be required.
nAdditional Information:nnSupport on the unit includes a charge nurse, unit secretary, hospitalist, RT, and centralized telemetry monitoring with tele tech.
nCharting system used is EPIC, with equipment including Alaris, Pyxis, and GE monitors.
nOrientation includes 4-8 hours of clinical onboarding, with NEO orientation during dayshift, and a meet-and-greet with educational staff.
nSchedule planning occurs every 6 weeks, with holidays expected on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
nRTO approval of up to 7 days; additional days require email approval.
nScrub color is flexible, no camo or denim.
nMust document pain levels before and after medication administration, ensuring proper scoring and orders for medication administration as necessary.
