Medical Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist Setting: Healthcare Facilities Job Type: Travel Pay: $2055 / Week Hours: 40.00 Location: Galveston, TX
The MedicalLaboratory Technologist /Clinical Laboratory Scientist under the supervision ofdesignated Manager, performs diagnostic analytic tests on human body fluidssuch as blood, sputum, stool, cerebrospinal fluid, peritoneal fluid,pericardial fluid, and synovial fluid, as well as other specimens. The Medical Laboratory Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist works within clinical laboratories, doctor'soffices, reference labs, and within the biotechnology industry.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or ClinicalLaboratory Science, or other related field is required
Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologistor Clinical Laboratory Scientist program that is accredited by the Committee onAllied Health Education (CAHEA) required
License/registration may be required by state or client
At least 1 year of experience in a facility or a relatedfield preferred
Current BLS card if required via contract or staterequirement
Current physical exam, if required by state regulations orcontract
Current TB test or chest x-ray
Successful completion of background screening and onboardingprocess
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
