Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with ER experience and at least 1 year in the MRI specialty to perform MRI and X-ray procedures in a hospital setting.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
BLS and ARRT MR certification required
Washington state license required if applicable
ER experience required
Community hospital experience preferred
Pending license accepted
Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
Proficient in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
Responsibilities
Hospital-based MRI Technologist role within the MRI department
Performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, upper and lower extremities
MRI scope includes abdomen/pelvis, MRA, female/male pelvis, head and neck, brain, cranial nerves, chest, breast, myocardium, spine (cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic, spinal trauma), and musculoskeletal imaging (foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, long bones, TMJ)
Cardiac MRI capability with and without contrast
Uses Siemens MRI equipment
Epic EMR preferred
3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with set consecutive nights
No on-call requirement
May be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
First-time travelers will be considered
All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
