Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Days MRI Technologist with 2+ years of current MRI experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a 26-week assignment at a teaching hospital.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience required
ARRT (MR) certification required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
GE equipment experience required
Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and take call as needed
Must have own vehicle
License required if applicable
Skills checklist for MRI (current within 1 year) required
One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
Responsibilities
Radiology department in a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
Monday-Friday day shift, either 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
Approximately 9 patients per shift
Works alongside another tech aide or MRI tech, never solo
Overnight coverage after midnight handled by on‑call staff
No regular weekend requirement, but holiday coverage and occasional weekend/evening work may be needed
Possible on‑call requirement
Uses GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment
8 hours of non‑billable orientation provided
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
Requested time off must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 5 days
Scheduling requests must be finalized prior to submission, as changes after offer may result in a rescinded offer
