Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse specializing in Level III care is needed in an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care for neonates, including surgical patients 23 weeks and up, with responsibilities encompassing all respiratory modes, PICC line management, bronchoscopy, and other advanced procedures. The position offers a night shift schedule for a duration of approximately three months.
Job Details:
Certifications: BLS, NRPS, California License
Education & Experience: 1 year of experience as a NICU Nurse, with at least 2 years of patient care experience preferred; experience in surgical neonatal care and advanced respiratory management required.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, no call, float to pediatric, neonatal, and nursery units possible.
Responsibilities include managing ventilator support, neonatal intubation and line insertions (PICC, umbilical), administering surfactants and steroids, and providing neonatal abstinence syndrome care.
Additional unit details include interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and more, with a patient census of approximately 23 neonates per day.
Candidates must submit work history verifying at least two years of experience, along with current certifications and valid licensure.
