Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3-5+ years of experience proficient in both general nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures.
Requirements
ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification required
License required if applicable
Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in nuclear medicine
Must be proficient in general nuclear medicine and PET procedures
Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Responsibilities
Nuclear Medicine department performing both general nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging
Floats between NM and PET departments for direct and indirect patient care, including patient reminder calls
Volume of 10+ nuclear medicine studies and 12-14 PET/CT studies per day
Top procedures include whole body bone scans, lung scans, gastric emptying studies, renal scans, HIDA scans, thyroid uptake/scan and whole body scans, DaTscan brain scans, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid scans, FDG PET, and specialty PET
Uses GE and Siemens equipment
5x8 hour AM shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
On-call required, including one weekday (4:30 PM-10 PM) and one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday 7 AM-10 PM)
Likely one holiday call shift during the contract
Call-back cases are typically limited to HIDA, GI bleed, brain death, and lung studies
Grey scrubs required as part of dress code
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
Former Emory employees must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
