Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a TX or compact RN license and expertise in electrophysiology studies.
Details
Position is in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab
Performs emergency and elective angioplasty, electrophysiology studies, drug-eluting stents, and pacemaker implantation
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8-hour day shifts
No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles away
Requirements
Active TX or compact RN license required; no pending licenses accepted
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
Minimum of two years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience in a U.S. hospital required
Minimum of one year monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies required
BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
CPI certification is mandated
Recent acute care experience required
BSN is highly desired
Working knowledge of micropace helpful
Additional Information
Duties include performing a range of cardiac catheterization procedures and providing patient care in accordance with clinical licensure and certification
Expected to help educate and support staff in the Cath Lab
References from two managers or supervisors are preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
SSN, driver's license, and proof of COVID and flu vaccination are required for consideration
