Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

Setting: Level II Trauma, acute-care hospital
Shift: Eight-hour day shifts plus required call
Department: Combined Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology
Labs: Three
Volume: Approximately 4–5 cases daily
EMR: Epic with Apollo cardiac charting
License: Required at submission
Scrubs: Surgical green
Required Qualifications
More than 3 years of hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Experience with procedural circulation, moderate sedation and medication administration
Ability to manage cardiac and IR emergencies, including STEMI stabilization
Procedures and Patient Types
Cardiac catheterization and inpatient cardiac add-on cases
Interventional Radiology procedures
Compression fractures
Venous-access procedures
Hydronephrosis
Chest pain and shortness of breath
Pulmonary hypertension
Pulmonary embolism and DVT
Gastric ulcers
IABP stabilization
Responsibilities
Circulate during Cath Lab and IR procedures
Prepare and manage procedural supplies
Administer medications and moderate sedation
Monitor patients throughout procedures
Respond to STEMI and other emergency cases
Float between designated locations during regular hours and while on call
Call Requirements
Minimum of 10 weeknight call shifts
Minimum of two weekend call rotations: one IR and one cardiac
Holiday call required
Weekday call coverage: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekend call coverage: 7:30 AM–7:30 AM
Response time: 30 minutes from IMC and as soon as possible to LKS, MCB and Bergan
Orientation and Scheduling
One week of departmental orientation
Includes supervised buddy-call orientation
Schedule requires supervisor approval
Supervisor/charge coverage is available
Three Cath Lab technologists support the department
Important Submission Requirements
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Driver’s license required at submission to verify distance
Candidate cannot currently work full-time, part-time or PRN for any CommonSpirit, CHI or Dignity Health facility
Maximum of seven RTO days per 13-week contract
All RTO must be disclosed upfront; additional requests will not be approved
Orientation Exam and Policies
Open-book pass/fail examination occurs Friday during orientation
A score of at least 90% is required to continue the assignment
Artificial nails are prohibited and refusal to remove them may result in termination
The facility provides Landauer radiation-monitoring badges
Cancellation Policy
The hospital may cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment or three shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
