Join a dynamic cardiac stepdown team in Charleston, West Virginia, and bring your acute care and telemetry experience to a respected major teaching hospital. This 13-week travel RN assignment offers the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center while caring for complex cardiac, trauma, and intermediate care patients.

Assignment Length: 13 weeksn
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770n
Shift Duration: 12-hour nightsn
Shift Pattern: 3x12 or 4x12 night options; every other weekend requiredn
Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours, with 48-hour contract options availablen
Orientation: 16 hoursn
Charting System: Cernern
Setting: Level I Trauma Center / Major Teaching Hospitaln
Start Date: Available based on scheduled orientation cyclen
Job Requirements
n Minimum 2 years of RN experience requiredn
At least 1 year of recent stepdown, PCU, IMC, trauma, or similar acute care experience requiredn
Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submissionn
BLS and ACLS requiredn
CPI and fit test requiredn
TNCC preferredn
Experience with Cerner preferredn
Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and float within scope as neededn
Strong trauma, telemetry, or ICU background is a plus for first-time travelersn
Must meet compliance and documentation requirements prior to startn
Responsibilities
n Deliver safe, compassionate patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac and trauma stepdown environmentn
Monitor and manage patients with complex surgical, trauma, and cardiac needsn
Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmiasn
Manage IVs, central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and critical dripsn
Provide care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound vacs, feeding tubes, and ventilator supportn
Support patients with epidurals, PCA therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway managementn
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomesn
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response and code support as neededn
Float within scope to meet unit needs while maintaining high standards of clinical caren
