Join a collaborative neuro/surgical stepdown team as a travel Registered Nurse in Jackson, TN. This 13-week Tennessee travel nursing contract offers a consistent 3x12-hour day schedule, a manageable adult and geriatric patient population, and the opportunity to care for complex telemetry patients alongside strong interdisciplinary support services. Travel Nursing Job Details
n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890n

Nursing Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shiftsn
Shift Hours: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.n
Weekly Hours: 36n
Call: No on-call requirementsn
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric neuro/telemetry patientsn
Typical Patient Ratio: 4–5 patientsn
Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts per four-week schedulen
Additional Scheduling: Holiday availability is required; flexibility to float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or a low-acuity ICU is expectedn
Registered Nurse Travel Contract Requirements
n Active Tennessee or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensen
Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience; stepdown or progressive-care experience is strongly preferredn
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certificationsn
Recent Epic experience within the past 18 months, clearly documented in the professional profilen
Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills in a telemetry or progressive-care environmentn
Previous travel nursing experience is preferred, though first-time travel nurses are welcome to applyn
Ability to meet unit orientation, scheduling, and floating expectationsn
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
n Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric neuro, surgical, cardiac, and telemetry patientsn
Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditionn
Care for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, post-neurosurgery, post-MI, renal failure, and other complex conditionsn
Manage central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, peripheral lines, and wound care needsn
Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, heparin protocols, insulin protocols, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive respiratory support as indicatedn
Perform accurate patient assessments, care planning, documentation, and education using Epicn
Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation, IV services, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care teamn
Recognize and escalate clinical deterioration, participating in rapid response and emergency interventions when neededn
Float safely and effectively to comparable medical-surgical/telemetry units or a low-acuity ICU based on staffing needsn
