Weekly Hours: 36n
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendn
Patient Ratio: 1:4n
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990n
Floating: Required to float to like or lower-acuity units based on census and staffing needsn
Orientation: 36 hoursn
Schedule Type: Block schedulingn

Job Requirements
n At least 1 year of recent RN experience required; 2 years preferredn
Recent telemetry nursing and cardiac/stroke experience requiredn
Strong ability to read, identify, and respond to cardiac rhythmsn
Experience with cardiac drips requiredn
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredn
Active state RN license required before start date; pending license may be considered at submissionn
Must live more than 50 miles from the facilityn
First-time travel nurses may be consideredn
Cerner experience preferredn
Must meet facility vaccination and background review requirementsn
Responsibilities
n Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiac stepdown patientsn
Monitor telemetry and respond quickly to rhythm changes and changes in patient conditionn
Administer and monitor cardiac-related drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix per unit protocolsn
Care for patients with stroke, CHF, chest pain, MI, syncope, hypertension, and overdose diagnosesn
Support patients requiring oxygenation modalities, excluding ventilatorsn
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, and therapy servicesn
Float to like or lower-acuity units as needed to support patient caren
Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a busy, high-acuity hospital environmentn
